			Hello!

I seem to have problem when connecting my RTK6 control-unit for the first time. I have just connected plus 12V and ground to the unit like this: ![]() When I push the light-button to turn on the unit a "zero" just flashes under the light-button and the unit beeps four times fast and after that the whole panel lights up + flashes and beeps and turns it self off. Could I have connected something wrong or what? (I have just connected +12V and gound to the unit, nothing else yet). |

			Thanks for your fast answer!

Now I have connected the Bus-cable from the control-unit to the central control-unit in the lightbar like this: ![]() And my connections to the central control unit looks like this: ![]() But again when I push the light-button to turn on the unit a "zero" comes up under the light-button and the unit beeps about four times and then turns itself off... Could I have connected the 2 light-beacons wrong (see upper image)?? Or what can the problem be? |

Have you got the original cables?

Which lights do you have? The flashers or the rotating lights? If you´ve got the rotating lights, you need a third, cable which checks the ligt. If this cable is missing, the control unit gives an allert. Could you take some pictures from the whole construction? |

Yes, thats the misstake. You need the original Hella lights. I´ll try to find out, which cables you have to connect with which contact. Please wait a moment ![]() ---------- In the manual I couldn´t find anything about it... Perhaps somebody else, who knows more about the RTK 6, could help here! | |

			Hi Freestyle!

I connected like you have yours control-unit connected with the third cable and it fixed the problem with the unit turning itself off. So far so good! Thanks! But "the zero" still flashes under the light-button, could it be indicating that there is something wrong with lights? When I push the buttons nothing seems to happend. |

I Think you need a Third Cabel on the Light's too

It's like a Control Cabel for the Unit. (Rotation Control) |

You need original RTK6 rotators because there are magnetic rotation sensors.

			Yes, now it works!

![]() Thanks to user Freestyle and others for helping me out with this rotating-light issue! I put a towel in the sirenspeaker pipe to lower the sirensound a bit and it works. But there are now 4 big pieces flashing in the control-unit display to the left.. Has it something to do with siren beeing muffled?? or what? Lights and siren seems to work fine even with the display flashing. |
